Pierre Alechinsky

An exhibition poster from Louisiana Museum of Modern Art with work by the Belgian artist, Pierre Alechinsky, (b. 1927), printed in connection with Louisiana's exhibition with Alechinsky, in 1969.

The abstract and the figurative go together in Alechinsky's paintings and prints, where he mixes colorful paintings with black and white ink drawings. After training as a book illustrator and typographer, Pierre Alechinsky joined the international artist association Cobra in 1949.
