Radio Bombay 50 ml

1 900 SEK

Description

Radio Bombay is an eau de parfum from the NYC-based DS & DURGA. Transistor radio hewn of sandalwood radiates ragas in the Bandra heat. Hot copper tubes warm the soft wood releasing blooms of musk, cream, peach, ambrette, coco, cedar distillates.

Objects can suggest a fragrance. Light bulbs glow. Electricity courses through their metal filaments. They melt the dust on their surface emitting wisps of heat. The tubes in amplifiers have a certain aroma. Imagine a radio sitting in a small hot shop in Bandra —the “Brooklyn” of Bombay. The heat deconstructs the oils in the wood. Ragas and Geeta Dutt tunes jangle out of its tiny speaker in the busy city.

D.S. & DURGA
D.S. Durga are pioneers from Brooklyn. With the premise that scent is as strong as sight and sound, they began to turn things they loved in music, art, nature and design into fragrant stories. They see scent as an invisible soundtrack to carry on your body all day.
The art of creating perfume is about how you use the ingredients, not just their quality. By cherry picking the best of this and the most useful of that, DS Durga creates unique perfume magic. Off-notes, unexpected combinations and new constructions are at the heart of D.S. Durga's aromatic vision. The perfumes are a work of art and the craft creation is a central part. Each fragrance is conceived and constructed with no middleman or interpretation from an outside perfumer.

Made in NYC.
